Nominations Now Open

Nomination are now open for Watershed Guardian Awards for the region of
Nottawasaga Bay / Simcoe and Grey Counties.

Key info:
- The Watershed Guardian Awards and recent recipients are described at Watershed
Guardian Awards | Ontario Headwaters Institute;
- Earlier this year, we shifted to presenting the Awards on a regional basis;
- This resulted in greater profile, more attendees, and generated more media than in
the past, per the Pointer; and,
- In July, we will be presenting two awards for the Grand River / Waterloo region, one
for lifetime achievement and one for the watershed guardian of the year, at a
conference in Waterloo.

For the fall, we are focused on the area of Nottawasaga Bay / Simcoe and Grey
Counties and intend to present at least one Watershed Guardian of the Year award, a
10-pound hand-blown work of art, and several Community Advocate Awards with
their watershed droplets.

Nominations will be accepted through August 14 for individuals and organizations in all
categories.
